Music is my life!

I love writing feel good uplifting music, whether it's a euphoric bass driven electro dance track or a chilled out melodic film soundtrack. My ambition is to work in the music industry, either as an artist or producer.

My favourite bands at the moment are The Prodigy and The Killers. I've seen them both numerous times and I always enjoy their energy and charisma. Although I'm quite diverse with my musical tastes, my true love is electronic music. I remember nagging my parents for my first electronic keyboard after listening to the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream.

Throughout school, with the help and support of my music teacher, I discovered my talent for music, continuing my love affair with electronic music. Having always admired the skills of legendary film maker/composer John Carpenter, I became interested in film scores. Then in 2002 I wrote my first score to 'The Last Walk Home', a low budget horror film directed by my good friend Mark Smith.

In the last year or so I've thoroughly enjoyed writing dance music and as I became more confident in my song writing and film scoring capabilities I decided to set up a 'home studio' which consists of a Korg M50 music workstation, Korg Microkorg XL, Novation Xiosynth, a PC and laptop. I enjoy spending most of my spare time in my studio writing and updating my website: www.headfunk.net.

In October 2009 my song 'Ignite' won Demo Of The Month in 'Futuremusic' magazine and was aired on BBC Radio 6 Music's Introducing show with Tom Robinson. It was handpicked by Tom Robinson himself to appear on the BBC podcast. I have recently put the finishing touches to my third album 'Intensity', and completed the soundtrack to a horror film entitled 'Wrong Move,' which will both be available to download on my website in late December 2009.
